The Motorola Droid 4 |
Is the upgrade to my now outdated Droid 2 Global. Still think it's weird to say that a phone that came out just over a year ago is outdated, but that's how this smartphone business is, so stick with a Android you'll love for a long, long time, because these baby's get updated like crazy.
My Droid 2 and How it's Still Good:
I still love my Droid 2 Global and when it was released i think Motorola was way ahead of everyone in the android market. I say that because even though 4G technology was around when my Droid 2 came out i don't think Motorola wanted to push the 4G market to much because it was newer technology. See, now that is thinking smart. There were tons of Androids coming out when my Droid 2 came out that had 4G capabilities, but a lot of them could only get the 4G service in certain spots, or major cities. So Motorola focused the Droid 2 towards the android business and included software and capabilities no other android phone at the time had. Things like complete Flash compatibility on the web, support for all video formats, a 1.2GHz processor (most at the time were only 1GHz or 800MHz), great sound, it is just overall a great phone and i never had to call Motorola about it at all.

I still can't wait to see what they come out with in janurary 2013 (if we are still alive lol) so i can upgrade and finally get 4G service. With the way Motorola comes out with new phones i bet by then they are going to have the Droid 10.
Oh and i didn't even touch on the Droid 3 because that was one lousy upgrade, so i don't even consider that a upgrade phone. But, the Droid 4 looks like a beast.
